Hello, I'm running a Win7 64 bit, disabled firewall and antivirus, forwarded ports 6014 and 2612 (checked with a port checker) and even copied the client files directly into the B&W game folder(don't know if that is really required). The game created in the client does not show up in the game (LAN).
I really wish I could play online..
P.S. Advice: Please provide a step by step tutorial on what needs to be done to play online (maybe a youtube video). Also promoting the working game on youtube with many videos would be nice to get more players to play (funny feats get the gamers coming. Minecraft example).

did you actually launch the game from the client program? other than that it sounds like all the proper procedures have been taken..

I am having this problem as well. I have routed the ports and am launching through the client. I can get into the client and launch B&W from it just fine. The LAN list is empty even when I have created the game myself.
Solutions?

it would certainly be empty if another player isn't present..
